EFT Tapping

How Often Should EFT Tapping And Reiki Take Place?

It is not uncommon for us as humans to have a hard time dealing with emotional and physical problems in our fast-paced world. That is why we so often are on the hunt for treatments and solutions that can give us immediate relief. EFT tapping and Reiki are effective yet non-invasive therapies used to treat issues that many people face. Although these therapies don’t claim to offer a cure, they provide relief and resilience against many problems like addiction, pain and painful illnesses, anxiety, depression, fertility challenges, trauma, OCD, stress, weight issues, and so much more.

We have discussed the origin of EFT as well as the science, methodology, and techniques behind it in our previous blogs. Here, we uncover the guidelines about how often you should do Reiki and/or EFT tapping.

How Often Should EFT Take Place?

Many patients ask, “How long does it take EFT tapping to work?” The answer to this question, though, is, “It depends….”

Your energy is unique, and the issue you are struggling with is also specific to you. Many other factors should be taken into account to determine how many times you will need to do the EFT tapping sequence per day. These factors include:

  • Familiarity. If you are newly learning the tapping technique, you may be a little stop-start or hesitant. Keep at it, though, as the tapping method flows more the more you practice it. When you start, you can find yourself interrupting the progression to check which face tapping points are next or to remind yourself of your setup statement, but as you gain more familiarity, your tapping will become more focused.

It is recommended that you tap each day as you get used to the technique. Daily tapping will assist your body in getting into the habit, and you will already start to feel the benefits; and in time, you will start to feel your energy becoming unblocked a lot more quickly.

  • Intensity of challenge. The greater the severity of the issue you are dealing with, the more often tapping is recommended. For forceful or chronic problems, consistent tapping is advised. That is why many people prefer to start by addressing issues that are at the surface level by tapping for a shorter duration. Four to five rounds per day are often the general guideline for providing relief for lower-intensity issues.

If you are working on a severe issue, you could need ten to twelve rounds daily. It is worth noting that because the benefits are cumulative, you will achieve the best outcomes by tapping every day.

  • Personal experience. Because one individual may get results in a shorter span of time than another, there are no hard and fast rules for the frequency of EFT tapping. How often and for how long you engage in tapping is entirely up to you!

While no risks have been linked to the emotional freedom techniques, some people experience yawning, being thirsty or experiencing dehydration, even burping as signs of release. Bear in mind that part of the power in EFT is discovering your ability to tune into your body and emotions. Listen to your being and pay heed to what it is telling you.

How Many Sessions of EFT Do I Need?

When it comes to tapping, more does not necessarily mean better. It will not do any harm either, but you should not feel obliged to sign up for more tapping sessions than you feel comfortable with. It is all about how you feel and what works for you.

That said, a habit of regular tapping is recommended. When you start tapping therapy, it often helps to get into the habit of having regular sessions scheduled. Once you are in more of a routine, you can do more of the tapping techniques for anxiety and other psychological and physiological ailments on your own.

A considerable benefit of EFT tapping is that, once you have mastered the technique, you can do it for yourself when and where it is convenient for you! Other than advantages like being non-invasive and pain-free, natural and self-guided, a huge pro for tapping is that it can produce results quickly

Reiki.

How Often Should Reiki Take Place?

How long does Reiki take to work?” You guessed it! There are variables to take into consideration. Generally speaking, though, Reiki sessions last around 60 minutes, shorter sessions work well for children and those who are very ill in some way.  It is possible for you to relax so much that you may fall asleep which shows that you are completely relaxed.  For some people this may not happen, and that is OK as the Reiki Energy is working with the subconscious part of you.

Allow yourself time to detach from the rush of making the appointment on time etc. Allow yourself that transition time to use the bathroom, take a breath, and bring yourself into the present moment.

Even one singular Reiki session can make a huge difference, but as with EFT, the frequency that you decide to partake in Reiki sessions is up to you. You can have weekly, bi-weekly or monthly sessions, even less frequent if you prefer.

How Many Sessions of Reiki Do I Need?

How many Reiki sessions are needed depends on what your goal is. Each Reiki treatment session gets you closer to your ideal state of being. We advise that you discuss the number and spacing of your sessions with your Reiki master.

Serious challenges are best worked on with a burst of three sessions in in the first week if possible, at intervals that work for you. Depending on what you are seeking to resolve, the treatment period may go on at varying frequencies and timelines.  For less intense issues, three to five Reiki treatments one week apart is ideal. Maintaining your holistic equilibrium can be done with treatments once every month to six weeks. Let your body and your Reiki master guide you.
