Usui Reiki Level 1 (2 days)

Covers history of Reiki, 4 Attunements to receive Reiki Energy, giving treatments, hand positions.

Reiki level 1 is a two-day course with small classes (4 – 6 people) to enable a more friendly and individual experience. On completion of the course, you will have an illustrated Reiki Manual, the First Degree Reiki Certificate as well as receiving on-going support and advice.
During this training, you will receive 4 Attunements to receive the Reiki Energy and learn:-

  • What is Reiki?
  • Reiki history
  • Reiki principles & Ethics
  • Hand positions for Treatment for others & for Self-Healing
  • Practical healing sessions on each other

Usui Reiki Level 2 (1 day): The Practitioner’s Degree

Covers 2 further Attunements and 3 sacred symbols to strengthen mental and emotional healing and send absentee healing.

This course is a one-day course which will allow you to practice at a practitioner level. You will receive a manual and certificate as well as ongoing support and advice. At this level of Reiki additional energy centres are opened and you are connected to a greater volume of Reiki Energy.

During the course, you are given three sacred symbols, each having a specific function. These symbols can then be used as a focus to enable you to strengthen mental and emotional healing and to send absentee healing. A large part of the training received in Second Degree is centred on the understanding and use of these symbols.

In Reiki 2 you will receive two further Attunements which provide greatly amplified energy and its focus is on the etheric body rather than the physical. As a result of these Attunements, you may develop both a greater sensitivity to energy and a psychic awareness.

  • Focus the energy on the release of mental and emotional blocks.
  • Focus your mind to enable to send Reiki energy beyond time and space and thus bring about effective absentee healing.

Usui Reiki Level 3 Master/Teacher level (2 days)

Covers 3 advanced Attunements and one further sacred symbol to take you to teacher level and the spiritual level, learning how to attune new students to Reiki energy, revising past learning and develop personally.

Usui Reiki Master/Teacher (Shiki Ryoho)
Often this is split into 2 courses, but we teach it in the traditional way over two days. At the completion of this level, you will have received the final Usui Reiki Master symbol and be able to teach and attune others should you wish. This is the level where you ‘become the energy’.

offer Usui Reiki training from Level 1 right through to Reiki Master Teacher level. Each level builds beautifully on the last, taking you deeper into your understanding and practice of Reiki. Whether you want to learn Reiki purely for your own personal use or you are working towards teaching it yourself, there is a pathway for you.

None at all. Reiki is open to everyone regardless of background, experience or belief. An open heart and a willingness to learn are all you need. Many of my students come to their first training day having never experienced Reiki before, and leave with a skill they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

An attunement is a special process that forms part of every level of Reiki training. It is carried out by me as your Reiki Master Teacher and acts as a kind of energetic opening, aligning you to the Reiki energy so that you are able to channel it. Many students describe the attunement as a deeply moving and profound experience, though everyone's experience is different. It is a beautiful and sacred part of the training that students often look back on as a real highlight.

Each level of Reiki training is taught over one or two days, depending on the level. Training is always carried out in person, as I firmly believe that Reiki is best learnt face to face where you can fully feel and experience the energy for yourself. This hands-on approach means you leave each training day feeling genuinely confident in what you have learnt.

Yes. My Reiki training courses are fully accredited and I am a member of the UK Reiki Federation, which is the leading professional body for Reiki in the United Kingdom. You can be confident that the qualification you receive is recognised and respected within the profession.

Yes. From Level 1 you will be able to offer Reiki to family and friends. As you progress through the levels you will develop the deeper skills and confidence needed to work with clients professionally. Reiki is one of those wonderful gifts that keeps on giving — the more you use it, the more natural and powerful it becomes.

Yes, once you have completed the appropriate level of training and met the requirements for professional membership you will be fully qualified to offer Reiki as a therapy to clients. I am always happy to guide you through what the pathway to professional practice looks like and support you as you take those first steps.

On successful completion of each level of training you will receive an accredited certificate recognised by the UK Reiki Federation. This is a professional qualification you can be proud of and use with confidence as you develop your Reiki journey.

My support does not end when the training day does. I am always available to answer questions and offer guidance as you begin practising and developing your Reiki. Karuna® Reiki Levels 1 & 2 (combined)

Covers Karuna and Spiritual Guidance, Karuna symbols, Healing the Shadow Self, Toning and Chanting and a Practice Session.
For those who have attained Usui Reiki Master Level.

Karuna Reiki is a healing energy that assists us in awakening to Universal compassion and the wisdom of our soul. Compassion is a state of consciousness, which when combined with energy, has great transformational power.

The Karuna Attunements allow a blending on very deep levels with the Universal vibration of Usui Reiki to bring about deep healing. It is a natural progression from Usui Reiki mixing and interweaving with the energy.

Karuna Reiki that is being sent by all the enlightened beings opens you to work more consciously with these enlightened beings. Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is used in Hinduism & Buddhism.

FAQs About Karuna Reiki® Training

Yes — to train in Karuna Reiki® you must already be a qualified Usui Reiki Master. This is a firm requirement set by William Lee Rand and the ICRT, whose guidelines and official manuals form the basis of all Karuna Reiki® training. I will always ask to see your Usui Reiki Master certificate before your place on the course is confirmed.

Karuna Reiki® is an advanced practice that builds directly on the foundations of Usui Reiki. Having reached Master level in Usui Reiki means you already have the energetic foundation, experience and understanding needed to work with the deeper and more focused energy of Karuna Reiki®. Without that foundation, the training simply would not have the same depth or meaning.

As with Usui Reiki, attunements are a central and sacred part of Karuna Reiki® training. The attunement process aligns you to the specific Karuna Reiki® energy and symbols, and is carried out in person by me as your Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher. Many students describe the experience as profound and deeply moving, though as always everyone's experience is beautifully unique.

Karuna Reiki® Level 1 and Level 2 are taught together over 2 days. The Master/Teacher level is taught over 1.5 to 2 days, depending on the number of students. All training is taught in person — Karuna Reiki® is a hands-on practice and I firmly believe it is best experienced and learnt face to face.

Yes. All Karuna Reiki® training is taught strictly in accordance with the guidelines set by William Lee Rand and the International Centre for Reiki Training (ICRT), using their official manuals. Certificates are issued by the ICRT, which is the internationally recognised body for Karuna Reiki® training worldwide.

On successful completion of each level of training you will receive an official ICRT certificate for the level achieved. These are internationally recognised qualifications that reflect the high standard of training required by William Lee Rand and the ICRT.

Yes. Once you have completed Level 1 and Level 2 training you will be equipped to offer Karuna Reiki® sessions to others. At Master/Teacher level you will also be qualified to teach and attune students to all levels of Karuna Reiki®, opening up the possibility of sharing this wonderful practice with others.

As with all my training, my support does not end when the course does. I am always available to answer questions and offer guidance as you begin working with Karuna Reiki® energy and developing your practice. The Karuna Reiki® journey is a deeply rewarding one and I love being part of my students' experience as it unfolds.

It is translated to mean any action that is taken to “diminish the suffering of others” and could be translated as “compassionate action”, to give Karuna or extend compassionate action to everyone, all beings benefit. As you develop Karuna in yourself, not only are you assisting others, but you also become more receptive to the Karuna that is being sent by all the enlightened beings, Karuna Reiki opens you to work more consciously with these enlightened beings.
